smile is originally used in the soundtrack for the charlie chaplin’s modern times (1936). the music was composed by chaplin, lyrics written by john turner and geoffrey parsons.

this version is performed by australian classic jazz performer janet seidel, taken from her 2003 album comme ci… comme ça (quite old album but i just got the cd… and i love all the songs in the album!)
